Ageless Items
Ageless Items are a group of settings affecting only Ocarina of Time. When an ageless item setting is enabled, the pause menu does not restrict either Child Link or Adult Link from equipping the item.
Ageless Items settings are found in the Items -> Ageless section.
Ageless Child Trade allows Adult Link to equip the Bunny Hood. The separate setting Fast Bunny Hood (Settings -> Misc. -> Quality of Life) causes the OoT Bunny Hood to increase Link's untargeted ground speed.
Vanilla Issues Fixed in OoTMM
OoTMM's code fixes issues seen in vanilla OoT when using glitches such as Equip Swap to bypass items' age restrictions.
In vanilla OoT
In vanilla OoT, there are problems with some of these items:
- Attempting to use Hookshot as Child Link or Deku Sticks as Adult Link crashes the game.
- The Fairy Bow and Slingshot have quirks such as using the wrong ammo (Deku Seeds for Bow, Arrows for Slingshot).
- Some items function correctly but do not render properly.
In OoTMM
OoTMM fixes all the above issues, even when the corresponding Ageless Item setting is disabled and glitches are used to operate an item agelessly.

Majora's Mask
These settings have no impact on Majora's Mask, even with Cross-Game Age (which adds Adult Link in Majora's Mask) enabled. Both Adult Link (when enabled) and Child Link can use all of the game's items.
