Kakariko's Graveyard is a hint region in OoTMM. It is alternatively called Graveyard when mentioned in the spoiler log or in the Vanilla in-game overlay. It is found in Ocarina of Time.

Kakariko and Kakariko's Graveyard are two separate regions. OoTMM does not have overlapping regions; the Kakariko hint region does not include checks within the Kakariko's Graveyard region.

Windmill / Dampe's Grave checks

With no ER, checks within the Windmill are part of the Kakariko hint region.

With no ER, checks within Dampe's Grave are part of the Kakariko's Graveyard hint region.

In OoTMM, the loading zone count requirement may differ from vanilla versions of the game.

You can access the staircase either by the warp pad, entering the Graveyard from Shadow Temple or alternatively, partially use one of the 'Early Shadow Temple' glitches to climb up to the Temple entrance.

The Redead room in Royal Grave can take a while to get through (forwards and backwards) due to the pits and the redeads.

A fast way through this room is to, upon entering:

  • Target the passageway wall to align Link's facing angle perfectly perpendicular to the wall
  • Side hop repeatedly towards the Stone Tablet at the end of the room.

With fast enough side hops, redeads won't be able to stun you.

On the way back, you can do the same thing.

Many of the platforms near the torches are viable for QPA.

It seems that some combinations of items make this strat possible and others don't. It may depend on Link's age (and therefore height) and the hitboxes on his weapon. All the swinging weapons can be used with QPA, including Deku Sticks and Megaton Hammer.

It might be possible to do this without a shield by hitting the torches with the QPA jumpslash twice in a row. If so, the timing is pretty tight.

This strat may not be possible as Child with only Deku Sticks (no shield for crouch stabbing). In that case, the Flame Storage strat (below) might be easier.

[This strat guide could be improved with a list of which items can be made to get this to work for each age. There's a lot of combinations. • Edit Article]

Lighting the Torches in Royal Grave with Flame Storage

  1. Use Flame Storage to store the flame in the final room of the Royal Grave (the one with the tablet). Any method of flame storage will work fine - so there's no need for slingshot as shown in the video.
  2. Position yourself correctly before activating flame storage:
    • Stand near the loading zone between the final room and the redead room.
    • You need to still have the final room loaded for Flame Storage to work - if the torch is unloaded then flame storage won't work. If you're positioned well you should be able to see the torch's halo if you were to face that direction.
    • Ensure you have the correct facing angle: We want to be exactly perpendicular to the passageway wall so that we can side-hop to the unlit torches room.
  3. Activate Flame Storage
  4. Sidehop as fast as possible to the door.
  5. Press A to enter the door when Link is positioned near the left side of the doorway. You don't have long to find the right position!

If done correctly, as you enter the unlit torch room, the torch will be lit by the Deku Stick in Link's hand as Link's 'walk in the room' animation is playing. If the torch doesn't light, it's likely that you were either too slow or that you didn't enter the door on its left side.

The video shows a slightly different steps to the above guide. In the video, the sidehop is initiated then the stick is drawn midair. This potentially means that the initial speed is faster, but at the cost of retrieving the stored flame in a more reliably optimum position. [Which method is better? • Edit Article]
