OoT & MM

Shared Health is an optional feature that causes OoTMM to merge OoT and MM's health management.

  • With Shared Health disabled:
    • Receiving a heart piece, heart container or double defense for one game does not affect the maximum health/defence of the other game.
    • Current health is tracked separately for OoT and MM. Taking damage or healing in one game does not affect the health bar of the other.
  • With Shared Health enabled:
    • Receiving a heart piece, heart container or double defense affects the maximum health/defence of both games.
    • Current health is tracked as if OoT and MM were one game with a single health bar.

Item Pool

The Shared Health setting affects the item pool for heart pieces, heart containers and double defense

With Shared Health

With shared health enabled, the item pool contains[1]:

  • 44 heart pieces
  • 6 heart containers
  • 1 double defense upgrade

Without Shared Health

With shared health disabled, the item pool matches vanilla [2][3][4]:

Ocarina of Time

  • 36 heart pieces
  • 8 heart containers
  • 1 double defense upgrade

Majora's Mask

  • 52 heart pieces
  • 4 heart containers
  • 1 double defense upgrade
