Temple of Time

Temple of Time is a hint region in OoTMM. It is found in Ocarina of Time.
Relationship to the Sacred Realm Region
Narratively speaking, the Temple of Time is the entrance to the Sacred Realm[1], but this is no way to visit this location in regular gameplay.
Light Medallion Check
The Temple of Time Medallion (vanilla Light Medallion) check is obtained from within the Temple of Time. This is triggered automatically when Adult Link stands near the Master Sword Pedestal. Nonetheless, this check is categorised as coming from the Sacred Realm region.
The reasoning behind this distinction is likely because, in vanilla gameplay, the Light Medallion is received in a cutscene which takes place in the Chamber of Sages.
Obtaining this check is one of a few requirements for being able to use the Age Change upon Song of Time feature (if enabled during seed generation).

Door of Time
Opening the Door of Time with Song of Time

Logic may be broken if [Ocarina Items] is used to play Song of Time, depending on whether the Ocarina Items (OoT) glitch is enabled.
According to the game's narrative, opening the Door of Time requires many items: the Spiritual Stones and the Ocarina of Time.
The game's code actually checks for none of these items. The Door of Time is instead triggered whenever the Song of Time is played. (Link must have found the Song of Time to play it; the player knowing the right notes is not enough!).
The only requirement to open the Door of Time is the ability to play the Song of Time. No other items are required.
This technicality never comes up in casual playthroughs because the Song of Time is obtained at the same time as the Ocarina of Time; and the cutscene that makes obtaining these possible is only triggered by possession of all three Spiritual Stones. Therefore, in a casual playthough, ability to play the Song of Time is considered proof - by the game - that the other items have been obtained.
